Hotels Tackle Unique Bathroom-Design Challenges

The first thing a guest does when entering their room is switch on the lights, looks at the bed, then check out the bathroom. Years ago, designers believed that a bathroom only needed to be extremely clean and have fluffy towels to satisfy, but just satisfying the guest isn’t enough anymore – wowing them takes a great eye and modern design.

In both new hotels and renovations, designers are finding better ways to utilize the space and accommodate the needs of guests. Eco-friendly showers and commodes that save water, stronger shower sprays while reducing overall water consumption, and ventilation that keeps the humidity down are all smart ways to save money and reduce consumption. Combining beauty and savings at the same time is a win-win for everyone.

In the following article by Jena Tesse Fox for, she gives examples of different ways she has found to open up the limited space in most standard bathrooms and provide a pleasant atmosphere for guests while meeting all the needs of the hotel as well. Getting creative and finding new ways to impress a guest is a great way to ensure a pleasant stay and an awesome review!
