In a change of pace to our typical national breadth of projects, 2019 saw us staying closer to our home base of Frederick, MD. Throughout the course of the year we worked on multiple projects, but the highlights were in our own backyard so to speak, in Bowie, MD; National Harbor, MD; Cambridge, MD; Bowling Green, KY; and Virginia Beach, VA. We also saw a nice variation in properties with TownePlace Suites, The Westin, and Hyatt Regency to name a few. While we inevitably renovated countless guestrooms, there was also an influx of restaurants we can now add to our portfolio, such as Michener’s Library, the two-story lobby lounge located in the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort Spa & Marina. Take a peek at the highlights of this past year’s showcase of projects:
TownePlace Suites Bowie Town Center
All the comforts of home – away from home, that’s what guests can expect to find at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Bowie, MD. An extended stay experience at this location includes spacious rooms, fully equipped kitchens, large work areas, an exercise room and an even an outdoor pool.
The Westin Washington National Harbor
No stranger to excitement and recreation, the National Harbor is home to several restaurants, shops, a convention center, and even a casino. The famed Cirque de Soleil was hosted in this prime location for various years, and while guests staying at the Westin Washington National Harbor won’t get to partake in that feast for the senses, they can enjoy outdoor activities such as culinary festivals, concerts, the Capital Wheel (a 175-foot Ferris wheel) and even a Peeps eating contest!
Hyatt Regency Michener’s Library
The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf, Resort, Spa and Marina is a vacation destination in and of itself. Perfectly positioned on the banks of the Choptank River, this incredible resort offers amenities worthy of envy. Guests can enjoy one of the many relaxing services at Sago Spa & Salon, partake in a round of golf at River Marsh Golf Course, spend a day on the water with the convenience of a 150-slip full-service marina, or simply appreciate the stunning beauty that surrounds the 342-acre property.
Courtyard Bowling Green Convention Center by Marriott
An ideal location for travelers of both business and leisure, the Courtyard Bowling Green Convention Center has plenty to offer its guests. The hotel has an indoor pool, whirlpool, 24-hour business center, fitness center, and best of all – extra-plush Tempur-Pedic bedding to help guests relax with ease. Within a few miles guests can partake in local attractions including the National Corvette Museum, Beech Bend Raceway & Park, and NCM Motorsports Park, all sure to make the car enthusiast giddy with delight.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Virginia Beach/Norfolk Airport
