How we protect hotel guests and staff while working in occupied spaces


Most Marketplace companies across the globe shut down for months due to COVID-19.  Consumers felt the effects in various ways within their personal lives, and businesses felt the effects both financially and legally as local ordinances dictated many aspects of their operations. Now that many areas of the world are beginning to open up, new state guidelines are being established to maintain safety standards in an attempt to prevent another virus outbreak.

Within the construction industry, it used to be common to have workers metaphorically “on top of each other” within a small space to get a project completed on time. However, this can no longer happen according to The National Law Review.  They published an article titled “Tips for General Contractors for Ongoing Building Projects During the Covid-19 Crisis” with legal guidelines to maintain compliance for how to manage a construction crew within the “new normal” of doing business in their field. These tips include:

  1. Communicating with project owners about potential deadline delays or cost increases
  2. Developing and implementing an infectious disease preparedness and response plan
  3. Communicating with subcontractors about how they need to run their crews on job sites
  4. Modifying job rules to facilitate social distancing
  5. Increasing availability of handwashing stations and disinfectant wipes
  6. Awareness of coronavirus symptoms and how to react to them
  7. Providing education on the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)
